The spring citywide garage sale event runs from April 8-22, 2026. The garage sale sign moratorium is in effect during this time, which allows for the placement of garage sale signs without a permit.

• This moratorium shall not authorize any person to display signage on private property without the permission of the property owner, occupant, tenant or other representative having legal authority over the property.
• In instances where signage imposes a hazard to public safety, the City shall maintain the authority to cause removal and disposal of signage.
• Signage shall not obstruct or impede the view of intersections, traffic, pedestrians or street signage.
• Signage shall not be affixed to utility poles, signs, hydrants, utility barricades or guy wires.
• Signage shall not be placed on public owned property.
• Signage shall not be accentuated with strobes, strand lighting or other attention getting devices that provide illumination.
