    2. Ball Field Reservation Information

      Baseball, softball, soccer and flag football fields at Lewis-Young Park are available to rent. There is a priority schedule for field rental with first-tier priority going to activities approved by the Louisburg Park & Tree Board and/or City Council and USD 416 sporting events. Second-tier priority goes to the Louisburg Recreation Commissioin and its programming for youth and adutls in the Louisburg community. Third-tier priority is general public activities. In the event of a scheduling conflict, field use will be prioritized by the organization's number of participants living in USD 416. Sports teams may be asked to provide a roster with coach and player contact information.

    4. Payment & Reservation Instructions

      Reserve a field using the options below. All reservations must be paid either in person or by mailing payment to: City Hall, 215 S. Broadway, Louisburg, KS 66053. If mailing payment, please print form and include with payment. Reservations must be made 48 hours prior to event. Reservations are not confirmed until payment is received. In the event you postpone or cancel a paid reservation, you must fill out a new form for the desired rescheduled date. If your event is canceled, please contact parksreservations@louisburgkansas.gov on how to process a refund.

    6. Field fees:

      Baseball/softball                                         $30/hourly
      (rate applies if used by football) 
      Soccer                                                      $20/hourly
      Football                                                                       $20/hourly
      Lights                                                                           $15/hourly

    7. Field Light Key

      A $25 (per key) cash deposit is required for rentals that require keys to operate field lighting at Lewis-Young Park. The key(s) must be returned within 24 hours of the last rental date to receive a refund. Use of lights for Louisburg Recreation Commission activities will be administered through the LRC director. 

    9. Your Reservation
      Your reservation will be listed on the Facilities Calendar by your last name and park facility once your reservation has been approved by City staff.

    11. No Alcohol
      Alcohol is not allowed on public property including the City's parks.
    13. Restroom Facilities

      Public-access restrooms at Lewis-Young Park are cleaned at least weekly by city staff but staff is not available to clean on the weekends. Lewis-Young Park restrooms are cleaned by Louisburg Recreation Commission after events at the park hosted by LRC otherwise those restrooms are closed to the public. These restrooms are all seasonal facilities. Portable restrooms in all parks are cleaned weekly by the firm that provides those portable facilities.

    34. Field Use Map

      There are several available fields at Lewis-Young Park. A reservation may be denied if:
      1) the requested field is not available
      2) the applicant has an unsatisfactory use record
      3) the rental does not meet applicable laws/rules
      4) the rental could be detrimental to the best interest of the City, as determined by the City Administrator.

      Renters must be 21 years of age or designate one person to act as the coordinator of all rental matters.
