If you are experiencing an emergency or have an urgent need for police response, DIAL 911.
If you have a routine (non-emergency) need for the police, to file a police report, or need to an officer to respond to your home or business, call the Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 913-837-2300 and provide your contact information, phone number and reason for requesting an officer. They will dispatch an officer to you.
Individuals responding to the Police Station to file a police report or seeking information may come during regular office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. To reach an officer outside of regular hours, call dispatch at the number above. Our officers are on duty 24 hours a day.
The Police Department provides fingerprint services for residents of Louisburg. Appointments are necessary and are offered between 12:30-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Call 913-837-3191 for an appointment. There is a fee for this service.
- $30 for non-resident
- $20 for local residents/businesses
- No charge for USD 416 educators
- Non-USD 416 educators are charged according to their residency
UTV owners may purchase a tag for their vehicle, which allows them to drive it on city streets (UTVs are prohibited from driving on Amity/K-68). Those who wish to tag their UTV should contact the Police Department at 913-837-3191 to make an appointment for the inspection and to complete the application to receive a tag. Appointments are available between 12:30-3:30 Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. More information is available on the UTV-Golf Cart page.
County emergency alert: Everbridge
County residents may sign up for emergency alerts for situations like weather, traffic or other incidents through Everbridge, Miami County's emergency notification service. Sign up for Everbridge on the Miami County page on that website at: https://bit.ly/2Xw1XJT. Residents may also text MICOALERTS to 888777 to opt in.
